Students Partner with Darul Ihsan to Brighten Elders' Day
In a heartwarming collaboration, Al Falaah College Matric girls teamed up with Darul Ihsan Centre to spread joy to the residents of Team Care Assisted Living Center in Asherville.
Students were welcomed at Darul Ihsan's Head Offices in Sea Cow Lake, where they were introduced to the centre's operations. The students also interacted with members from the centre's female youth wing, Daughters of the Ummah, and its counselling service, Guideline Islamic Counselling. Stress relief, relaxation and mental health care tips were touched on before students were given a tour of the facility.
The students, armed with compassion and enthusiasm, then embarked on an outreach project that left smiles on the faces of both young and old. The initiative involved students spending time and getting to know elderly residents at Team Care, fostering meaningful connections through conversation. One of the highlights of the day was the heartwarming lunch served by staff and students.
As a token of their affection, the students brought along thoughtful gifts for the elders, adding an extra layer of warmth to the visit.
Darul Ihsan Centre extends their appreciation to the students and management of Al Falaah College, as well as the dedicated staff at Team Care for allowing us to make a difference.
