Darul Ihsan Hosts Parenting Webinar - Ihsan In Action: Fostering Family Wellness
On Saturday, 2 March 2024, the Al Ihsan Muslim School (AIMS) together with Guideline Islamic Counselling hosted a webinar titled, “Ihsan in Action: Fostering Family Wellness”, providing parents with uplifting family guidance and tips underpinned by Islamic wisdom.
Our team surveyed both parents and students in advance to gain perspective on their respective challenges in navigating stress, academics, and family wellbeing.
The webinar was directed by the principal of Al Ihsan Muslim School, Maulāna Ilyaas Eshak, who began by highlighting the importance of holistic growth and the significance of the family structure.
The Head of the Darul Ihsan Social Department, Maulāna Muhammad Ameer, and Social Worker, Fathima Moolla, shined a spotlight on boosting family wellness and positive parenting tips.
Notable points included understanding adolescent brain development, nurturing Tarbiyah and Sunnah living, the status of parents, the value of children, and the Amānāt we are entrusted with.
Modern-day dilemmas of social pressure, academic stress, social media challenges and other family struggles were also touched on.
The webinar ended with a Q&A session to encourage parent participation, as Al Ihsan Muslim School understands that to give its learners the best opportunities and for them to be true servants of Allah Ta’ala, it all begins at home.
Alhamdulillah, the webinar was well received with great feedback from the parents:
“Allah reward Darul Ihsan, for such an informative webinar and allowing us parents to be included in the process for being there for our children.”
“Assalamualaikum, Jzkl kayr for a beautiful webinar, Allah reward u.”
