Individual challenges are broad, ranging from mental health-related issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma and bereavement, to social issues, like dealing with difficult family members and handling conflict.
Often, psychological/mental challenges and social issues overlap, hence, the service aims to address the needs of the individual holistically.
Spiritual nurturing, Islamic guidance, healthy-habit development and positive lifestyle changes all form part of the Islamic approach to counselling.
Short-term, goal-oriented counselling is undertaken on a one-to-one basis, with the aim of fostering positive changes in one’s life.
