FAMILY –

  • The family is a system of different parts. A change in any part of the system will trigger changes in all the other parts. When one member of a family is affected by challenges, everyone becomes affected. A disruption in one system causes a disruption of the entire system.
  • Family counselling understands this, and is never about blame, shame, guilt or fear. Family counselling is about creating a platform to learn, understand and grow, with a focus on restoring bonds and encouraging healthy communication and behaviours.
  • The strength and stability of the Ummah lies in the strength and stability of the individuals who make up the Ummah. Thus, Guideline seeks to help strengthen our family units in facing and eliminating these problems.
  • Our aim is to serve the family unit, and create a safe platform for each member to express their feelings and concerns in order to meet individualised needs and family-orientated goals.
